Man in his 20s dies after being knocked down by two cars in Louth

The incident happened shortly after 3am this morning.

A MAN IN his late 20s has been knocked down and killed in Louth in the early hours of this morning.

Gardaí said the incident happened at 3.15am on the Old Newry Road in Dundalk. The man was struck by two cars as he crossed the road. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The drivers of the cars were uninjured.

A garda spokesman said: “The road at the scene is closed to facilitate an examination of the area by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.”
